A caption that finishes the card
The card says what; the caption says why. Three lines are enough.
Line one: the year
One sentence about the year, not about the app. "This was the year I stopped posting everything."
Line two: the metric
Say how the nine were chosen. "Ranked by saves." It ends the question before it is asked.
Line three: where it lives
A pointer, not a pitch. "The full card is in the app."
What to leave out
Hashtag walls, engagement bait and long thank-you lists. A recap is already a personal post; it does not need a marketing layer.
How long should the caption be?
Three lines. Four at most.
